End of Year Report 2019

So another Smart 11+ year is over. Our tutors have delivered their final sessions. All of our children are as ready as they’ll ever be for the big day on Saturday.

A big thank you for your support. The centre has grown a lot in the last two years and your ongoing encouragement has meant the world to me and my colleagues. The investment you have made in your child’s future will definitely reap dividends whatever the outcome of their 11+ exam. The thing I have enjoyed most is seeing how many of you have bonded with each other. The tea and coffee club during our last session this year has been an absolute joy to me.

It has been a pleasure to work with you this year. You’ve worked so hard to get all of our pupils ready for their exam next week. It has been an exciting year, with some new faces teaching our pupils. We’ve also had the arrival of a new Vice Principal, Emily. It has been great to have her working alongside me as we continue to build in preparation for the possibility of more centres. My dream is that we can help more and more children reach their potential of attending a grammar or private school.

Whilst colleagues joining has been exciting, we also have a couple of tutors leaving us as full-time tutors. Ibrahim and Sarah have worked with me since we first moved to our new centre. Ibrahim is going to back to university to study Biomedical sciences with the hope of becoming a doctor and Sarah is returning to full-time teaching. They have promised they will come back to work with us occasionally on a supply basis, but I’d like to place on record my thanks to them both for their hard work. I hope you’ll join me in wishing them all the best for the future.

To every parent reading this, I hope you know how proud I am of every single one of your children. They have worked so hard throughout the year. Week in, week out, the tutors tell me the incredible effort that they’ve been putting in. Now all they have to do is put into practice the things they’ve been taught when they sit the exam on Saturday. I want to wish them all the best of luck. I can’t wait to hear their results.

New Year, New Beginnings

I am looking forward to our new year starting on 14th September. For those remaining with us, I hope that you will welcome our incoming pupils. To all those joining, you’re going to have a great time. As one pupil said in a testimonial, “It’s not just a normal school day at Smart 11+.” See you then!
